About the 78-card tarot draw

This free tarot draw uses a complete 78-card deck: 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards across the four suits of Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. Every card can appear upright or reversed, and the draw is made at random in your browser.

You can draw between one and ten cards. A single card works well for a daily check-in, a three-card draw for past / present / future or situation / action / outcome, and a larger spread when you want an overview of several themes. Turn on upright and reversed to include orientation; leave it off if you only want the card names.

How to use the draw

  1. 01

    Choose a card count

Draw one card for a quick prompt, or up to ten for a wider spread.

  2. 02

    Set your options

Show upright or reversed orientations, and allow or prevent duplicate cards.

  3. 03

    Draw and reflect

Click any card to enlarge it, then read the name and orientation in your own context.

Upright and reversed

A reversed card is not simply a negative card. In many reading traditions it points to an inward expression of the same theme: a blocked energy, a delay, or a quality that is present but not yet acted on. The draw always generates an orientation; the switch only controls whether it is displayed, so you can choose how much detail you want in a reading.
